and I know a lot of turns were you know kind of just waiting to see what was going to happen with you know schools in general returning to campus or not at this time we don't know but whatever this other schools in LA are doing we're going to do and our goal is you know obviously to to be back on campus and continue things of as normal but that's not possible then you know we're going to continue with our virtual learning but our hope is that at least by next year will be back on campus so again we just wanted to get a sense of how many students were turning to Xterra so that way we back to normal so I think there's still a long way for us to go but I I think now they're thinking maybe in March but it still seems kind of early because like I said teacher still have not been able to get vaccinated yet and I know that that is kind of like one of the big the biggest priorities give teachers that opportunity to be immune before they they go back to work Dulce Para regresar when I best ways again to see our website this week a student council wanted there to be a kindness week so they created a little checklist of different activities for the kids to do during the week to practice kindness if you click on show all events we can see the different things that are happening in January so ready coming to an and Sophie look at February you'll see that we have a virtual Book Fair coming up I didn't add it here but on third this is when progress reports are going home and then on February 10th that following week is when teachers are going to be available to have conferences in regards to progress report on February 12th we are going to have another art night volume it is a pencil paper and then something to color with the kids instead of thinking they wanted to do more of a drawing night so that's coming up on February 12th again 5 to 6 p.m. in case you want to join us so these are you events that are are scheduled for for now and then you know just also wanted to share that we why are planning to have a spring picture day because we do want to make sure that we have pictures of the kids that you have pictures of your kids but also that we have pictures you know for yearbook that way we can put something together and and we're also kind of holding off until as long as we can to do a panorama picture we're hoping that you know at some point when were able to return to campus that we can get all of our 5th graders together in a Safeway and take that big long picture for you know to be able to to have as a gift of all the 5th graders we do have a very large class this year but you know we're still trying to make that work with RR are photo company they're on board with helping schools as well so those are kind of two other things that hoping by March but really like the priority is for teachers to be able to have the opportunity to get vaccinated you know and then for the schools to be able to have the time 2 do you know set things up and and have ready for kids to come back to campus Because with the school closures we have it necessary we had that time to do that so I I don't I don't know I I don't think it's going to happen in February because they're still working on health care workers getting their vaccinations and for LAUSD it's a huge priority for teachers to be able to get vaccinated and have both doses before they return and you know we can't do anything until Ali us he does something so you know when we are just kind of waiting to see what happened okay and if they go back it the guitar auction right here online or going back right if you were to go back like let's say in April then it it would be you know your your option you know honestly we don't know what type of of situation is going to look like more than likely he has that you know that really need that are stretch marks medical special ed it wouldn't be everybody and you know if we did open it up end of the year then it just really depends on what our situation is if we're allowed to have the whole school back then it will be the whole school and it will be school as as usual you know if it is that we're only having a small group of kids you know they have that option where something would come and then probably look different because you know you don't have to change because this the schedule will have to change but we we really don't know how that's going to look like Milton McDonald's yeah the students need to get vaccinated also because I know there's no vaccine for minors right I haven't read too much about you know the vaccinations being done on younger kids I know that some of them were trying them out on teenagers like 16 and older you know I I really don't know what the state is going to decide on vaccinations especially for the younger kids so it's really hard to to stay one way or the other but I think I I just have a feeling that once they have a vaccination that it is something stayed for younger kids to take that it'll probably be a vaccination just like the measles shot and the chicken pox shot that they have to take that's what I honestly feel is going to happen but I don't I don't know it it's all going to be what the state decides and if the state decides for it to be mandatory and that's what's going to have to happen if if they leave their funeral open then it's left open but you know we of what we can do and what we can't do but last year we did have it on the last day of school we had the ceremony at 9 in the morning and then we had a you know a card for afterward when we met at the school site and it worked well I think everybody you know liked it the ceremony was pre-recorded so it it wasn't you know any hiccups or purchase with technology so I think the students loved that so I mean I feel comfortable that if we have to do it virtually again that we'll be okay I think I can Google have something special but if we going to have it in person than that's obviously that's also for the kids you know how you told me that they were going to some of them are going to go back to campus are they going to have to get tested every certain time to make sure they don't have it or there has a virus form so if we do decide to go back to campus and yes those students will need to get tested and it would probably be every week just like our staff is being tested and eventually the Kobe testing will shift to low Dana so it'll be something that they you at the school site and they won't have to go somewhere else to get the test but I'm the idea is if we were to have kids back on campus that day would participate in the testing and if they weren't comfortable doing then you know option of coming back to school wouldn't be something that they could do but like I said it all just depends on what kind of policies get put in place you know what the district has in place at the district makes it mandatory that we obviously have to make it mandatory as well miss Harlow will it fit go back to class will teachers be teaching the class or no I'll pour the first round of it just being like getting students on campus that you know have special needs or email designers are having a really hard time with distance learning those still be doing distance learning in a classroom so teachers will not be at the campus teachers will not be teaching anything different it'll just be those students in a Astro with somebody supervising them making sure that they are signing on to all of their classes that they are paying attention that they are doing their work and that's kind
